Heaven Roars For God's Remnant.
We are called to be firmly and deeply rooted lovers of Christ.
The Remnant: A Beacon of Light in Darkness
The concept of God's Remnant has deep roots in biblical theology. Throughout history, God has always preserved a remnant of faithful followers who remain steadfast in their devotion to Him. From Noah in the days of the flood to Elijah amidst the prophets of Baal, the remnant has served as a beacon of light in times of darkness.
Heaven's Perspective: The Roar of the Remnant
While the world may overlook or underestimate the significance of God's remnant, heaven itself takes notice. In the book of Revelation, we catch a glimpse of this heavenly perspective as John witnesses a multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before the throne and before the Lamb (Revelation 7:9).
Among this multitude are the faithful remnant - those who have endured trials and tribulations and have remained faithful to the end. And as heaven beholds this scene, it resounds with the triumphant roar of praise and worship, as angels and saints join together in exalting the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ!
Joining the Remnant: Embracing Our Call
As believers, we are called to be a part of God's remnant, to stand firm in our faith and proclaim the good news. As followers of Christ, we are to profess our faith boldly, worship Him in spirit and in truth, and live lives that reflect His glory. It is a call to be set aside and set apart, to be holy, and to be the light shining in the darkness.
But joining the remnant requires more than just lip service. It demands a total surrender of our hearts and lives to God. It means embracing the narrow path of discipleship, even when it may be difficult or unpopular. As it says in the word of God, 'Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.' (James 1:2) So we should continue to walk in obedience to His word, even when it goes against the tide of culture, and societal norms and standards.
As heaven roars with the praise of God's remnant, may we heed the call to join their ranks. May we stand firm in our faith, and unwavering in our commitment to God's truth. And may we be the light that penetrates the darkness, proclaiming the glory of our God to all the world. For in the end, it is not the applause of man that will matter, but the approval of our Heavenly Father. And His roar of affirmation is the greatest reward we could ever receive. Allow the Holy Spirit to do the pruning and refining so that we may be complete and lacking nothing.
